Speaker for Health & Pharmaceutical Organisations

The overall goal is to humanise the product and bring to life your company's principles through a transformational and impactful speech.

We know that having a sense of purpose in your work greatly enhances the personal fulfillment and productivity of staff.

During my speech I get your staff to realise that developing, designing and producing products and solutions that specifically improve the quality of people's lives, makes the work truly meaningful.

Information without emotion is not retained.

From the many testimonials and recommendations I have received, you will see that my talks are designed to be inspirational. You are brought on an emotional journey which brings to light both the reality of being a patient and the gratitude felt in being able to live well.

The end result is staff who respond with high levels of engagement and commitment.

Not merely working for a paycheck or to impress the boss but the wider goal of knowing the work you do directly affects the quality of people's lives. Knowing this, directly impacts the health and safety of the work being done by the workforce. They understand their purpose.

My approach and background
In terms of speaking style, my relaxed, entertaining and proven approach makes clear to staff the realities of living with a long term illness and the importance of appreciating your health. I am currently on my second kidney transplant. I’ve also had an impressive 1,800 hospital sessions. When combined with a Degree in Health & Fitness, a Masters Degree in Health Promotion and over 15 years speaking within this industry I am ideally suited to educate, motivate and inspire your workforce.

If you need a speaker who tailors each talk to the individual client and has been trusted to perform at the EU parliament, conferences and major pharmaceutical companies across Europe, get in touch today.

"Darren was a fantastic addition to the Future Health Summit agenda bringing his own experiences as a patient and sharing them with an audience of stakeholders from across the health system. highly recommend Darren for any company embarking on the quality culture journey

Darren Cawley spoke to the staff at the Allergan Westport site during our Health & Safety week in 2016. His talk was inspirational and struck a cord with all of us. There was a realisation after his talk that we were not just working at Allergan we were making products to transform people's lives -what a remarkable impact from a one hour session. Darren has a natural wit and charm and speaks freely and easily about his experience. His positive mental attitude and ability to make it through very challenging times in his life is truly remarkable. I would highly recommend Darren for any company embarking on the quality culture journey to help drive the message of patient safety first.

Managing Director UPMC Ireland / SVP UPMC International

Thank you so much for participating in our UPMC Leadership Development Programme RiTE session yesterday which was attended by over 100 colleagues including our President of UPMC International, Chuck Bogosta.
Your story was both inspiring and instructive in equal measure and reflects the importance of placing the patient (as a person) at the centre of their care. The feedback from all in attendance has been overwhelmingly positive and deeply appreciative. You are a wonderful advocate and ambassador for the mission, vision and values which should be extant within all aspects of our health services. UPMC’s purpose is to bring ‘Life Changing Medicine’ to the communities we are privileged to serve. Thank you for reminding and reinforcing for us the incredible privilege it is to lead and serve with dignity and respect.

...you were the highlight of the day.

On behalf of the TUN Conference committee I just wanted to say a huge thank you for coming along last Friday and speaking at this year’s TUN Conference. I for one thoroughly enjoyed your talk, I can see why you do it for a living, you were fantastic! I definitely think you were the highlight of the day. The feedback was phenomenal and the only complaint is that people would have liked to listen to you for longer so that’s certainly not a bad one.
