21 Pandemic Insights to Get You Through 2021

2020, what a year...

Best forgotten?  Not exactly. Why not strive to cast aside the negative experiences of the year and salvage the valuable, hard earned, lessons it has provided.

Looking back at the year it hasn't been all bad, has it? There has been a surge in personal growth, character development, creativity and resilience.

What other benefits are out there that we could carry over to 2021?

With that in mind "Lets hope..."

_______________

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so we can further develop our coping skills and resilience.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so that words such as adaptability, service, pivot, unselfishness and bouncebackability will be the key words that defined us.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... as it teaches an awareness that things will go wrong and that both forward, and outside the box, thinking is an essential part of life.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so we can cease to value all the things we don't have and focus on the many things we do. Family, community, nature, health, resilience, creativity.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so the importance of others to our life will become apparent.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so more people will see that it is only through adversity our greatest gifts are uncovered.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so countries, governments and organisations can work together with a sense of purpose and for the greater good of humanity.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so we can again realise that spending time in nature is time well spent.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so the importance of those closest to us can be understood.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so we can spend more time looking at our dreams and aspirations with a sense of purpose not merely a sense of pondering.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so we can see what we are truly capable off and take action to bring about the changes we want in our lives.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so we can once again return to the simple things in life with enjoyment and gratitude.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so we can savour the personal contact of a handshake, a hug or even a kiss!

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... as it reveals that no man, woman or child is an island. We are a community and we can choose to spread love as easy as we can choose to spread dis-ease.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... as we learned that being very productive is not always the most productive use of your life.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so we can realise that although we cannot physically travel, our mind can. A good book in a cosy corner can still open up the world.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... as it shows that nothing is written in stone. If we become flexible, adaptable and open, life will reward us for it.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so we can understand the importance of our physical and mental health. P.S. Simply walking with a friend improves the fitness of both.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... so we can stay connected and engaged to people we care about.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges... because obstacles are a normal part of life and learning to manage obstacles will lead to learning to live a fuller and better life.

Let's hope 2021 is again full of challenges...    (fill in the areas, the skills, the insights you have acquired due to surviving 2020)

_______________

Strive to become a wiser and stronger person, because 2020 happened.

Let go of the experience of 2020 but do not let go off the lessons learned from the experience. Carry with you the coping skills, the connections, the physical and mental strength, the knowledge and experiences and your new, improved, character that will have grown and shaped you into a stronger more resilient and creative person.

With this attitude, 2021 will be the year of you.
